ES: Repetir una esquina es una acción inédita y site-specific que activa una esquina del hotel como partitura espacial y sistema de repetición.

 

Mediante cinta de carrocero roja, la artista traza dos líneas que forman un ángulo recto, estableciendo una geometría mínima que funciona como regla y orientación corporal.

Dentro de esta estructura provisional, el cuerpo ejecuta una secuencia de acciones rítmicas guiadas por instrucciones verbales breves reproducidas mediante un sistema aleatorio de voz en el teléfono móvil, y por la lógica del espacio delimitado.

De manera simultánea, el mismo teléfono móvil que proyecta la grabación va registrando y reproduciendo con retardo los sonidos reales que surgen del espacio performático (voces, sonidos del cuerpo, la misma voz de las instrucciones…). La grabación aleatoria reproducida y la grabación in situ se solapan, generando un desfase temporal que introduce error, memoria y variación.

 

La acción se desarrolla sin interrumpir el tránsito del público, coexistiendo con el flujo del hotel.
La esquina aparece y desaparece, dejando como único residuo la experiencia del ritmo y la repetición.

EN: Repeating a Corner is a unique, site-specific performance that activates a corner of the hotel as a spatial score and system of repetition.

Using red masking tape, the artist draws two lines forming a right angle, establishing a minimal geometry that functions as a rule and bodily orientation.

Within this provisional structure, the body performs a sequence of rhythmic actions guided by brief verbal instructions played through a random voice system on a mobile phone, and by the logic of the delimited space.

Simultaneously, the same mobile phone projecting the recording captures and plays back, with a delay, the real sounds emerging from the performance space (voices, body sounds, the same voice giving the instructions, etc.). The played random recording and the on-site recording overlap, generating a temporal lag that introduces error, memory, and variation.

The performance unfolds without interrupting the flow of visitors, coexisting with the hotel's movement.
The corner appears and disappears, leaving as its only residue the experience of rhythm and repetition.
