BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:
Elisa Miravalles, visual artist, performer and researcher, born in Burgos (Spain) 1987.
She has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (2012), and a Master in Artistic Research and Creation in the same center (2015).
She is currently doing a doctorate in Fine Arts (2023-2024). Is a member of the Research Group Data Art Research. Theories, methods and practices, and member of the teaching innovation project Action art laboratory. Development of teaching materials and research strategies through the body in virtual teaching.
She has obtained the grant for access to the Incubaucm program, from the Complutense Office of the entrepreneur. (2020-2021).
In recent years she has been part of several international performance festivals such as Summer Scenes in towns of the community of Madrid, Canal Performance in the Teatros del Canal of Madrid, Open Scene in Burgos (Spain), Performance Art Bergen in Bergen (Norway), Perneo Performance Art (Madrid), From side to side in Salamanca (Spain), Draw to Perform in Brighton (UK), AcciónMAD! in Madrid (Spain), Mulleres en Acción in Galicia (Spain), AcciónSpring(t) in Madrid (Spain), Nexo in Toledo (Spain), Body movement. Artistic theater days in Madrid (Spain), Femme Yourneys in Madrid (Spain), P.E.P.A in Madrid (Spain), ArtSur in Cordoba (Spain), and Contemporary art festival SanFest in Guadalajara (Spain).
She has also worked with her performances in a lot of spaces, some of them are the International Fair of Contemporary art JUST MAD in Madrid (Spain), Teatros del Canal in Madrid (Spain), Twin Gallery in Madrid (Spain), Neomudéjar Museum in Madrid (Spain), Vostell Museum (Malpartida de Cáceres), auditorium El águila in Madrid, Vilarinyo Space in Madrid (Spain), Paco Martin, in Madrid (Spain), ATM Gallery in Gijón (Spain), Alegría Gallery, in Madrid (Spain), Theatre Nave 73 in Madrid (Spain), Matadero, Casa del Reloj in Madrid (Spain), in Pola de Lena (Asturias, Spain), in Beniccásim (Castellón, Spain), or in Circulo de Arte de Toledo (Toledo).
Her works have been exhibited in some places like Alegría Gallery (Madrid), ATM Gallery in Gijón (Asturias), Complutense University of Madrid, Fair Exopaire in Palencia (Spain), or the International Fair ArteAranda in Burgos (Spain).
She is currently working on what she loves so much, art and performance!.
